Every Zero Day Security engagement is performed hands-on by a tester holding seven practical, exam-based certifications: CREST CRT and CPSA, OffSec OSCP, OSWA, OSWP and OSAI, and Hack The Box COAE. The same tester also holds CompTIA Security+, CySA+ and Network+. Here is what each one covers and why it matters.

CREST Registered Penetration Tester: a practical exam in infrastructure and web application testing, recognised by regulators and procurement teams in the US, UK and worldwide, and renewed every three years.

CREST Practitioner Security Analyst: the CREST exam covering networking, operating systems, web technologies and core security assessment methodology.

OffSec Certified Professional: a hands-on exam that requires compromising machines on a live network, including Active Directory, and writing a professional penetration test report.

OffSec Web Assessor: hands-on web application testing, including cross-site scripting, SQL injection, server-side request forgery and authentication flaws, proven against live targets.

OffSec Wireless Professional: practical attacks against Wi-Fi networks, from WPA and WPA2 cracking to rogue access points, for on-site wireless penetration testing.

OffSec Advanced AI Red Teaming: OffSec's advanced certification in attacking AI systems, earned through a hands-on exam against AI and LLM applications, agents and the infrastructure around them.

Hack The Box Certified Offensive AI Expert: specialist certification in attacking AI and LLM applications, covering prompt injection, AI agent and tool abuse, and data leakage through RAG pipelines.

No. CREST CRT and CPSA are individual certifications held by the tester who performs your engagement, which is what most PCI DSS, HIPAA and SOC 2 programs need. Zero Day Security is not a CREST member company. If your contract specifically requires a CREST-accredited company, mention it during scoping.
OSAI (OffSec Advanced AI Red Teaming) is OffSec's advanced certification in attacking AI systems. It is earned through a hands-on exam against AI and LLM applications, agents and the infrastructure around them, and it backs our AI and LLM penetration testing.
CRT, OSCP, OSWA, OSWP, OSAI and COAE are earned by attacking live targets in a timed, hands-on exam rather than by answering multiple-choice questions. That proves the tester can find and exploit real vulnerabilities, not just describe them.
The certified tester described on this page performs every engagement personally, from scoping through testing, reporting and the free retest. There is no handoff to a junior tester or an automated scanner.
